Out of the above names, only Apple allows you to directly transfer iCloud Drive files to any other cloud service as long as it’s available on the App Store. For the remaining services, you can only transfer using third-party apps as shown here.

1. MultCloud

Multcloud is one of the best apps to transfer files between different cloud services. To get started, first sign up for a MultCloud account.

To begin, select a cloud provider from the list. Here, I chose Dropbox. You can choose your desired display name for the provider. This procedure is required just once.

For each and every cloud provider, MultCloud requires access to the info and documents you have with the service. The following permissions are for Microsoft OneDrive.

Do remember that you can add only one cloud service at a time. The following permission is for Box.

Once all your clouds have been added to the menu, select the provider where the files are currently stored. Select the files one by one, right-click and select “Copy to.” Here I copied a bunch of files from Dropbox to other providers.

Once the files have been copied, choose your destination clouds.

You can either move files to just one provider or use the multi-selection option to transfer them to multiple destination clouds. It’s the fastest way to backup your files on multiple clouds.

Wait a little while for the files to be copied and transferred. Even with a free MultCloud account, your monthly data transfer quota is at least 30 GB, which is very generous for such a superb service.

You can see a success status when all your source files have moved to their respective destinations.

Using a “Cloud Sync” feature, you can enable automatic two-way syncing between any two cloud providers. You can also set them to a regular calendar schedule.

The basic MultCloud plan is free and allows up to a 30 GB monthly data transfer. With a paid plan starting at $9.90/month, you get advanced features such as encryption, 150 GB traffic, and other convenient forms of access.

2. Cloudfuze

The permission requests to add various cloud providers with Mozilla Firefox works similarly as before. You have to add the authorizations.

Once the clouds have been added, choose a source cloud and a destination cloud as shown here. You can transfer the files online by clicking the “Migrate” button.

As a free user, you can only transfer 2 GB data or 50 transfers monthly. However, paid users can transfer around 50 GB data for $9.99/month.

Transferring Files from iCloud Drive to Other Cloud Providers

On your iPad, you can select a bunch of files from the iCloud Drive and tap the “Share” button. Then, you will have to select the Destination cloud provider. Currently, the App Store supports Google Drive, Google Photos, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, and many others. After you  click “Upload,” your files are easily copied to the destination cloud.

Conclusion

Many of us have different cloud services for storing files. Sometimes we may need to transfer them among each other, either on a one-time basis or on a recurring backup schedule. In this guide we covered two useful apps to make the transfer as smooth as possible. Which other tools and apps do you use for inter-cloud file migration? Please let us know in the comments.
